Gino’s Deli the Best Sandwiches in San Antonio by Readers Choice best of San Antonio award conducted by San Antonio Current.
San Antonio Current readers voted for 3 months to pick the best food establishments in San Antonio in their respective categories. Gino’s Deli is a mainstay in Best of San Antonio voting by dozens of publications. This years Readers Choice awards were no different. Gino’s Deli was ranked the Best Sandwiches in San Antonio for the 5th year in a row.

Unlike most other businesses Gino’s Deli doesn’t ask its customers to vote for them. All voting is done organically by readers of San Antonio Current on their own without prompting from Gino’s Deli or their staff.
Aleem Chaudhry the owner and founder of Gino’s Deli said “I thank every single person who voted for us. It truly is a humbling experience.” He further said that He is honored and touched by the love and faith in Gino’s Deli the voters have shown and will forever be grateful.” He further expanded on his thoughts saying “This is the fifth year in a row being named the Best Sandwiches in San Antonio, that is such an enormous honor” and “It blows my mind”. All he said he can say is Thank you!
In 18 years since its inception Gino’s Deli has never marketed it self nor advertised. Aleem Chaudhry firmly believes all business growth must be organic and through word of mouth. Expanding on the subject Aleem said “While accelerated growth via marketing and advertising works for most businesses, and I understand the value of it but I don’t believe in artificial growth. I don’t worry about the business end of things, my philosophy is “Make Awesome Food, Take care of people (customers)”. Everything else falls in to place if you do those two things.
