So its happened again, Gino’s Deli was named one of the best cheap eats in San Antonio. Unsurprisingly this is not the first time this has happened. Through out the years publications from Trip Advisor, Unation, San Antonio Things To Do, NewsBreak, Stacker, to SACurrent have all ranked Gino’s Deli as either the best or one of the best Cheap Eats in San Antonio.
Since the pandemic the prices of ingredients have gone up substantially. Every restaurant in the country has suffered cost increases and inevitably had to raise prices. Gino’s Deli took a different route. Gino’s Deli ingredients are extremely high quality and hence the prices are substantially higher than other restaurants. Despite the fact the costs have gone up, Gino’s Deli has refrained from raising prices over the last two years.
The philosophy Aleem Chaudhry the owner and founder of Gino’s Deli Stop n Buy has had since day one is “Make Awesome Food and Take Care of People”. A huge part of taking care of people is to keep the prices as low as possible. Instead of raising prices Aleem has opted to cut down on profit margins and take less money home rather than raise prices. This has resulted in lower prices and hence being ranked one of the best cheap eats in San Antonio again.
Maria Gonzalez tried a couple of different things, Firstly, there was the Double Cheese Burger. According to her “When my order arrived, I couldn’t contain my excitement. The burger lived up to its reputation, with the cheese oozing out and the juicy patty cooked to perfection. Each bite provided an explosion of flavors that left me craving for more. But it wasn’t just the burger that impressed me.”
She also tried our third best seller, The Italian Sandwich. Maria says “I also tried their amazing Italian sub, which was packed with fresh ingredients and a generous amount of meat and cheese. The combination of flavors and textures in this sub was simply delightful. It was clear that Gino’s Deli @ Stop & Buy knows how to make a delicious sandwich”.
